Welcome to Just Mama Teresa
Faith, creativity, encouragement, and beauty for everyday life.
For many years, I have introduced myself through the people I love and the roles I hold.
I’m a wife, a mother, a daughter, an adoptee, a woman of faith, a creator, and someone who has lived through more than one season of starting over.
Each of those roles is part of me. Each one has shaped my heart, strengthened my faith, and taught me something about love, loss, hope, family, and beginning again.
But here, I’m simply Teresa.
Just Mama Teresa.
And this is where I want to share the stories, lessons, creativity, beauty, and everyday moments that have shaped my life.
Why “Just Mama Teresa”?
The word “just” can sometimes sound small.
Just a mama.
Just a woman at home.
Just someone creating from an ordinary desk, an ordinary kitchen table, or a quiet corner of the house.
But I have learned that there is nothing small about pouring love into a family, encouraging someone who is struggling, creating something beautiful, holding on to faith, or beginning again after life changes.
There is nothing ordinary about the unseen work of a mother.
There is nothing insignificant about the words we speak, the memories we make, the prayers we whisper, or the light we bring into someone else’s day.
So when I say “Just Mama Teresa,” I do not mean that my life is unimportant.
I mean that this is me without pretending.
No complicated title. No perfect image. No need to have everything figured out.
Just Teresa, sharing from the heart.
A Life Made of Many Seasons
Life has a way of moving us through seasons we never expected.
There are joyful seasons, uncertain seasons, quiet seasons, painful seasons, and seasons when we are asked to begin again.
I have known what it feels like to carry questions, to walk through change, to hold tightly to faith, and to discover that healing does not always happen all at once.
Sometimes healing looks like prayer.
Sometimes it looks like creating art.
Sometimes it looks like sitting quietly with a cup of coffee while the birds gather outside.
Sometimes it looks like telling the truth about where we have been and choosing to believe that our story is still unfolding.
This blog will be a place for those kinds of reflections.
Not because I have all the answers, but because I believe our stories can help one another feel less alone.
Faith in Everyday Life
My faith is not separate from the rest of my life.
It is woven through motherhood, family, creativity, loss, hope, and the ordinary moments that often pass unnoticed.
I believe God can meet us at the kitchen table, in the garden, during a difficult conversation, through a Bible verse, or in the middle of a fresh start.
I also believe that some of the most meaningful moments are not always the loudest ones.
They are often found in the quiet places.
A prayer spoken before anyone else wakes up.
A child’s laughter.
A bird at the feeder.
Sunlight falling across a room.
A verse that speaks directly to the heart.
A reminder that even after a difficult season, something beautiful can still grow.
Creating Art and Reel Videos
Creativity has become one of the ways I express what is in my heart.
I love creating meaningful art inspired by faith, hope, nature, motherhood, healing, and the beauty of everyday life.
I also enjoy turning those images into reel videos that bring the artwork to life through movement, light, music, and emotion.
Sometimes an image can express something that words cannot fully explain.
A glowing path can represent hope.
A blooming flower can represent healing.
A bridge can represent forgiveness.
An empty chair can represent welcome, memory, or a place still waiting to be filled.
A beam of light can remind us that God is still present, even when the way forward is unclear.
Here, I will share some of the art I create, the meaning behind it, and the inspiration that led me to make it.
I hope these pieces bring encouragement, comfort, and a little beauty into your day.
What You Will Find Here
JustMamaTeresa.com will be a place for real life and gentle encouragement.
I will share thoughts about motherhood, faith, creativity, family, identity, home, healing, growing older, and starting over.
There may be stories from my own life, reflections inspired by Scripture, creative projects, everyday discoveries, and honest conversations about the seasons women carry.
Some posts may be thoughtful.
Some may be cheerful.
Some may be deeply personal.
Others may simply celebrate something lovely—a flower blooming, a bird outside the window, a meaningful piece of art, or a reminder that today still holds something good.
There Is a Place for You Here
The image for this first post is called A Place at Teresa’s Table.
The empty chair is there for a reason.
It represents welcome.
It says there is room for your story, your questions, your faith, your creativity, and the season you are walking through.
You do not have to arrive with everything figured out.
You do not have to pretend life is perfect.
You can simply come as you are.
My hope is that this blog feels like sitting down at a warm table with someone who is willing to listen, share honestly, and remind you that you are not alone.
A Little Light to Leave Behind
I do not know exactly where this blog will lead, but I know why I am beginning.
I want to share what I have learned.
I want to create beauty.
I want to speak hope.
I want to encourage other mothers and women who may be standing in the middle of change, wondering whether their story still matters.
It does.
Your life matters.
Your voice matters.
The love you have given matters.
The things you have survived matter.
And it is never too late to begin creating something new.
“I may be just a mama, but with God’s grace, love in my hands, and creativity in my heart, I can still bring light to someone’s day.”
